It's the 17th of the month, and that means it's the
Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Party.
The theme this month is doilies. Still in vogue in the papercrafting world, doilies are found on all sorts of cards. Those more clever than I can even manage to make something quite modern looking with them. My card, however, uses the real thing (a paper doily) and numerous WMS doily stamps to create a homespun look.
Buzz on over to the WMS blog to see the rest of the doily cards.

This is so pretty. I like the layering and the colors you chose.
Your colors are stunning and make for a beautiful card!
This is gorgeous Charmaine, what a gorgeous colour combo, and I love the design!
This layout is fantastic, Charmaine! And I think that YOU came up with quite the clever way to use doilies, what with the sponged doily and the stamped ones mixed in! Love your combination of sentiments, too. And how could I forget the COLORS...that's what drew me in from the first click of my computer mouse ;)!
A great idea to use an actually doily for your background. It sets the stage for lovely and colorful WMS doilies. The text panel is a great touch! I'm glad you could join us for the WMS Party this month. =)
Love all those doilies....they look wonderful!! Sentiment is perfect!

Beautiful stamping and real doilies. Fun idea to add the news print. Beautiful card
I love the look of your card with the newsprint column. That doily is really striking in the aqua!
Love how you've used the doily stamp as a button....it all looks fab against the turquoise!
Charmaine, I LOVE the pop of red with the turquoise, such a refreshing combo and I love that giant big doily in the bg, very pretty!! Thank you so much for playing along with us at WMS!
