June Christmas Card Challenge

Sylvia Durocher's monthly Christmas Card Challenge for June calls for triangle(s) and the colour green. I started out with piecing together a background of mostly triangles from assorted papers.

I used this graphic 45 Nutcracker Sweet designer paper as the focal point because the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown Challenge Blog is looking for nutcracker or toy soldier-themed cards.

The envelope for this large (8 X 5.25 inches) card is a red "Aura" A-9 Euro Pointed Flap Envelope from www.paper-garden.ca. I added a label from the same pad of designer paper so the address will be readable going through the post. One more Christmas card made. I even finished the inside so it is truly ready to use come December.

Charmaine, Excellent background! I made a few of these backgrounds in the past. Math was not my strong point so figuring out angles was challenging. I love my SU Die which makes it easier. I like the soldier accent. Thanks for joining my Christmas card challenge.

That's a great way to add interest and texture to the background, and wonderful nutcracker image and sentiment. Thanks for joining us at the Christmas Card Throwdown.

I love how you've managed to get pattern and texture onto the background but the card is still not too busy. He makes a great focal point.
Thanks for playing along at Christmas Card Throwdown.
